A specialist engineering consultancy is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its growing team in Oxford, working on a range of geotechnical and foundation engineering projects.
This is a great opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to build their technical experience within a specialist environment. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to investigation, monitoring and foundation-related projects.
The role will involve:
Supporting geotechnical and foundation engineering projectsAssisting with site investigations and ground monitoringCollecting and interpreting site dataSupporting the installation and monitoring of instrumentationAssisting with foundation assessments and geotechnical analysisPreparing technical reports and project documentationWorking with engineers and project teams to deliver projectsVisiting sites across the UK as requiredDeveloping your technical knowledge through on-the-job training The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering subjectAn interest in geotechnical engineering and foundationsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsA willingness to travel to site when requiredA proactive approach and genuine interest in developing a career in geotechnical engineering Previous industry experience is not essential, although any university projects, placements or experience relating to geotechnics, foundations, structural monitoring or site investigation would be beneficial.
