Looking for a varied Teaching Assistant role where you can support the whole class while making a real difference to pupils with additional needs?
Long Term Futures is recruiting a confident and proactive KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming junior school in Haringey this November. You'll provide a combination of general classroom support and targeted SEN assistance, helping pupils across Key Stage 2 develop confidence, independence and stronger academic skills. About the Role
Support teaching and learning across KS2 (Years 3-6)Provide general classroom assistance alongside the class teacherDeliver targeted 1:1 and small-group SEN supportHelp pupils access English, Maths and wider curriculum lessonsSupport children with additional learning, attention or communication needsDeliver literacy and numeracy interventions where requiredEncourage positive behaviour, independence and classroom engagementAdapt resources and activities to individual learning levelsWork closely with teachers and the SENCo to monitor progress Ideal Candidate
Previous primary school Teaching Assistant experience is strongly preferredExperience supporting pupils with SEN is essentialGood understanding of the KS2 curriculumConfident supporting English and MathsAble to balance whole-class responsibilities with individual pupil needsPatient, adaptable and proactive within a busy classroomStrong communication and positive behaviour management skills Why Long Term Futures?
