A well-established and growing independent accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Practice Accountant to join its friendly and collaborative team in Bexhill. You will manage a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, providing accounts preparation, tax compliance and day-to-day client support.Responsibilities will include:
Preparation of statutory accounts and tax returnsBookkeeping and maintenance of client recordsLiaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide ongoing supportManaging invoices, expenses and other financial administrationProducing reports and analysing practice data where requiredWorking closely with colleagues and external providers to ensure excellent client serviceSupporting a broad range of accounting and compliance requirements for SME clients This is a hands-on position offering plenty of client interaction and the opportunity to become a trusted adviser to your portfolio.
What you'll need to succeed
Part qualified ACA, ACCA or AAT qualification (or equivalent experience)Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environmentStrong accounts preparation and tax compliance experienceExperience working with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooksExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesGood Excel and Microsoft Office skillsKnowledge of IRIS would be advantageous What you'll get in return
