Data Scientist - Time Series Forecasting Inside IR35 6 Months Hybrig/Remote
We're looking for a Data Scientist with a background in time series forecasting to join a growing, high-impact data team. This is an opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of advanced analytics projects, delivering scalable solutions to complex, real-world business challenges.
The Role
As a Data Scientist, you will:
Lead and contribute across the end-to-end data science lifecycle, from problem definition and research through to deployment and optimization. Design, develop and scale time series forecasting models to drive business decision-makingWork cross-functionally with Data Engineers, ML Engineers and product teams to deliver production-ready solutionsTranslate complex data science concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersEnsure best practices in model performance, explainability, robustness and governanceStay at the forefront of emerging techniques, particularly within forecasting and predictive modellingMentor team members and help build technical capability across the team What We're Looking For
Essential experience:
Experience in Data Science with a proven track record of solving complex problemsExpertise in time series forecasting (e.g. demand forecasting, trend modelling, seasonality analysis)Solid foundation in statistical modelling and machine learning theoryProficiency in Python and experience working with large, complex datasets using SQL and SparkAbility to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio of projectsExperience engaging both technical and business stakeholdersExperience with libraries such as SciPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, KerasExperience working with cloud platforms and modern data stacks (e.g. Databricks, Azure)Knowledge of building and deploying large-scale machine learning systemsFamiliarity with Agile delivery environmentsA curious, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering real business impact Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Vertage Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
