Job Title: IT Manager Location: Ripon Salary: £55,000 - £65,000, depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time, with hybrid working available
Are you an experienced IT Manager with a strong technical background and experience overseeing IT systems, infrastructure, security and third party technology providers?
We are currently recruiting for an IT Manager based in Ripon. This is a varied and hands-on position where you will take responsibility for the day to day operation, security and development of the organisation's IT environment, while providing technical leadership and support across the wider business.
The successful candidate will be comfortable combining hands-on technical responsibilities with IT management, taking ownership of issues, managing external suppliers and identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and security.
Key Responsibilities as IT Manager: Take responsibility for the reliable, secure and effective operation of the organisation's IT environment, systems and user technologyManage and maintain the organisation's cloud-based IT services, user accounts, access permissions and security controlsOversee key business applications and systems, providing technical support, resolving issues and identifying opportunities for improvementManage IT operations including user onboarding and offboarding, hardware and software provisioning, access management, documentation and business continuityProvide technical leadership within the IT function, supporting colleagues, prioritising workloads and acting as a senior point of contact for IT mattersManage relationships with external IT providers and technology suppliers, including reviewing service performance, recommendations, costs and project requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve IT processes through automation, system integration and more efficient ways of workingLead and support ongoing technology projects and improvements, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and appropriate for the organisation's needs What we're looking for as IT Manager: Previous experience in an IT Manager, IT Operations Manager, IT Lead or similar senior technical positionStrong hands on experience managing modern business IT environmentsGood understanding of IT security, user access and data protection principlesExperience managing business critical systems and supporting users across an organisationStrong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsExperience managing external IT suppliers, service providers or technology partnersPrevious experience providing technical leadership, mentoring or line managementComfortable balancing strategic IT responsibilities with hands-on technical workExperience with automation, scripting or system integration would be advantageousStrong understanding of cloud based technologies and modern workplace systemsA proactive approach, with the ability to investigate issues and take ownership through to resolutionStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing operational and project requirementsConfident communicating technical information to both technical and non technical colleagues In Return as IT Manager you will receive:
