IBA TechnicianLocation: City of London (Hybrid 3 days in the office) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits (dependent on experience)
Your new company A well-established and growing specialist insurance broker is seeking an IBA Technician to join its finance function. Operating within the London Market, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering tailored insurance solutions and is continuing to invest in its finance and operations teams.
Your new role Reporting into the IBA Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of client money and insurer transactions in line with FCA and CASS regulations. Key responsibilities will include:
Processing and allocating cash receipts and payments across multiple insurer and client accountsPerforming daily, weekly and monthly bank and client money reconciliationsInvestigating and resolving unreconciled items, aged balances and outstanding cash allocationsProducing insurer statements and supporting settlement processesLiaising with brokers, underwriters, insurers and internal stakeholders to resolve account queriesEnsuring all client money is handled in accordance with FCA and CASS requirementsSupporting month-end activities and maintaining accurate financial recordsAssisting with process improvement initiatives and strengthening financial controls What you'll need to succeed
Minimum of 2 years' experience working within an IBA Technician or Insurance Accounts roleStrong understanding of FCA and CASS regulationsExperience processing client money, cash allocations and reconciliationsWorking knowledge of London Market insurance processesStrong attention to detail and ability to work accurately within a high-volume environmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in Excel and insurance accounting systems What you'll get in return
