About this role
We're looking for a Financial Controller to lead our transactional finance teams and take ownership of capital and fixed asset reporting. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll be part of the Senior Finance Management Team, with real scope to modernise processes, introduce automation and improve the quality of our financial service.
Key responsibilities
Lead the accounts payable, accounts receivable and expenses teams, ensuring ledgers are reconciled and closed monthly to deadlineDrive system and process improvement, including supplier automation, and act as finance system administratorOversee balance sheet control accounts, banking and payments, maintain the risk register and act as a bank signatoryLead on capital: monitor funding, report actuals against budget, and manage the fixed asset register, depreciation and year-end scheduleWork with Facilities to build a long-term capital replacement programme and forecasting modelSupport internal and external audit, and support the CFO on pension strategy and negotiationsDeputise for the Director of Finance when required About you
Professional qualification, e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA, or equivalentAvailable on short notice given this is initially temporaryProven experience managing and developing a finance teamStrong knowledge of financial controls, reconciliations, audit and balance sheet managementExperience of leading change and implementing finance systemsExcellent influencing skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders, auditors and external bodiesResilient, practical and creative in your approach to problem solving Due to the high volume of applications we receive, only short listed applicants will be contacted in relation to this vacancy.
