WE Talent are working with a busy, dynamic City of London organisation within the legal and regulatory sector seeking an experienced Compliance Administrator (Vetting & Regulatory Screening) to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a background in compliance, governance, regulatory operations or business screening to join a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
The role focuses on statutory-style vetting and regulatory screening of businesses, including KYC checks, application processing, and eligibility assessments. You will manage your own caseload, handle complex enquiries, and support structured decision-making processes within a regulated framework.
This is a varied, autonomous role requiring strong attention to detail, the ability to manage a high-volume workload, and confidence working within defined processes.
What you’ll be doing
As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:
Processing incoming telephone and email enquiries relating to registration, training, education, licensing, and compliance mattersManaging a personal caseload of applications, amendments, and regulatory screening/vetting casesCarrying out a variety of screening checks, including KYC (Know Your Client), using multiple systems and databasesAssessing and processing applications in line with statutory and regulatory requirementsHandling general enquiries and providing clear, accurate guidance to applicants and stakeholdersSupporting adjudication panel activity when required, including preparation of case informationSupporting compliance and regulatory projects alongside core caseload responsibilitiesAssisting with the coordination and administration of meetings and stakeholder interactions where needed (kept light and supportive rather than core focus)Working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate, consistent and timely processing of cases Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking an experienced, proactive compliance or regulatory professional who is comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment with a complex and varied workload.
Essential experience and skills:
Experience in compliance, governance, regulatory operations, audit, business screening / vetting, or similar structured decision-making environmentsStrong experience managing a high-volume caseload with accuracy and autonomyExperience carrying out KYC and screening checks across multiple systemsAbility to assess information, follow regulatory processes, and work within defined frameworksStrong written and verbal communication skills, including handling formal correspondenceExcellent attention to detail with a methodical, process-driven approachAbility to work at pace in a complex and changing environmentConfident handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalismStrong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel – intermediate), experience with case management systems advantageousUnderstanding of compliance principles, data protection, and confidentiality requirementsBackground in regulated environments involving statutory or quasi-statutory screening or decision-making highly beneficial What’s on offer
