A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related disciplinePrevious experience in a town planning role, ideally within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectorsStrong understanding of Irish planning legislation, policy and development management processesExperience preparing and coordinating planning applications and supporting documentationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and liaise effectively with clients, consultants and planning authoritiesMRTPI, MIPI or working towards professional accreditation would be advantageous Responsibilities
Prepare, manage and coordinate planning applications for renewable energy and infrastructure projectsUndertake planning policy reviews, site appraisals and development feasibility assessmentsPrepare planning statements, reports and supporting technical documentationLiaise with local authorities, clients, environmental consultants and other project stakeholdersSupport the delivery of renewable energy developments, including wind, solar and associated infrastructureMonitor changes in planning legislation and policy, advising on their impact on projectsCoordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects progress efficiently through the planning processProvide planning advice and support throughout the development lifecycle If you are a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner with renewable energy experience and are looking for your next opportunity in Galway, we would love to hear from you!
