About the Role
An established and growing specialist accountancy practice based in Wilmslow is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their general accounts team.
The role would suit an experienced practice accountant who is comfortable managing their own workload and preparing accounts through to review stage. You will work with a varied portfolio of companies, LLPs and sole traders, handling accounts preparation, corporation tax and client queries.
The firm has a strong focus on developing its people internally and provides structured training and support, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their accountancy practice career.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare year-end accounts for companies, LLPs and sole tradersPrepare corporation tax computations and returnsManage your own portfolio and workloadDeal directly with clients and resolve queriesChase and obtain outstanding information from clientsManage multiple jobs at different stages of completionPrepare accounts to FRS 102 / FRS 105Complete work through to manager review stageRespond to review points and make any necessary amendmentsBuild strong and professional client relationshipsWork closely with managers and senior members of the team
Experience
Previous experience working within an accountancy practiceExperience preparing year-end accountsGood understanding of corporation taxComfortable dealing directly with clientsExperience managing your own workload and portfolioAble to prepare accounts through to review stageExperience with FRS 102 / FRS 105Medical-sector experience is beneficial but not essential, with full training provided
Qualifications
ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studyingAAT qualified or studyingQBE candidates with relevant practice experience will also be consideredStudy support available for candidates working towards professional qualifications Working Pattern & Flexibility
