Join our team at NE&C Windows and Doors, a growing business where estimating supports bespoke commercial projects manufactured in a modern Washington factory. Previous estimating experience is essential, with aluminium, window, curtain wall or fabrication experience preferred.

SALARY: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits
LOCATION: Washington, Tyne and Wear, North East England
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
JOB OVERVIEW
This is an opportunity to join a growing business with a strong focus on quality workmanship, bespoke solutions and collaborative project delivery.
The Estimator will support varied commercial work for contractors and organisations, reviewing plans, specifications and take-offs while preparing accurate tenders and quotations. The Estimator will work with clients, suppliers and colleagues to keep submissions accurate and on schedule.
With aluminium products manufactured using modern CNC machinery, the Estimator will contribute to projects spanning windows, doors and curtain walling while following up quotations, negotiating and helping secure orders.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Estimator include:
Review Plans and Specifications: Assess building plans, specifications and tender informationMeasure and Quantify Take-Offs: Complete accurate measurements and take-offs across multiple projectsPrepare Tenders and Quotations: Compile quotes, tenders, variations and supporting submission documentsProduce Accurate Costings: Complete timely project costings and ensure submissions are commercially accurateCheck Specification Compliance: Ensure completed quotations meet relevant specifications and design briefsUse Estimating Systems: Raise quotations using IT systems including Logikal and in-house Excel pricing schedulesLiaise with Clients and Suppliers: Gather information and support the preparation of tenders, quotations and variationsManage Sales Communication: Communicate by phone, email and web-based portalsCoordinate with the Team: Work closely with colleagues to meet quotas and deadlinesBuild Client Relationships: Develop positive client relationships throughout the estimating processFollow Up and Negotiate: Follow up estimates, negotiate and support the securing of orders

ESSENTIAL
Previous estimating experienceAbility to review building plans and specifications and complete accurate take-offsAbility to prepare tenders, quotations, variations and costings across multiple projectsConfident client and supplier communication skillsSales experience across phone, email and web-based portalsAbility to use IT systems, including Logikal and Excel pricing schedulesStrong organisation skills with the ability to work to quotas and deadlinesNegotiation and relationship-building skills DESIRABLE
Experience within fabrication, aluminium, windows or curtain wall
