We are recruiting an ambitious Management Accountant to join a growing finance team in Huntingdon. Working closely with an experienced Financial Controller, you'll gain broad exposure across management accounting, financial reporting, business partnering, analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to accelerate their development in a commercially focused environment.
The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in supporting the monthly reporting cycle while contributing to projects that drive efficiencies and support business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting packsPreparing and posting journals, accruals and prepaymentsCompleting balance sheet reconciliationsPayroll and intercompany reconciliationsSupporting budgeting and forecasting processesDelivering insightful financial analysis and variance commentaryAssisting with annual audit preparationPartnering with internal stakeholders across the businessContributing to finance transformation, process improvement and cost-saving initiatives
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical foundations with a proactive attitude and a desire to progress.
You'll ideally have:
At least 2 years' experience within a finance environmentExperience supporting the production of management accountsActive studies towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT qualificationsStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExperience using ERP/accounting systemsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsA positive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn
Desirable:
Power BI exposureUnderstanding of Accounting standards.
