We’re recruiting for an experienced Field Engineer to join an established business within the electronic security sector.
This is a field-based position, predominantly focused on service and maintenance, alongside installation and corrective works across a range of customer sites.
You’ll be working with CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems, so we’re looking for someone with good hands-on technical experience who is confident fault-finding, working independently and dealing directly with customers.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out planned service and maintenance visitsFault-finding, diagnosing issues and completing corrective worksInstalling electronic security systems when requiredWorking across CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systemsEnsuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to specificationProviding clear updates and accurate documentation following site visitsLiaising professionally with customers and internal teamsManaging your workload and travelling between customer sitesSupporting engineering colleagues on larger projects when requiredOccasional UK travel and overnight stays where necessary What we're looking for
At least 2 years' engineering or relevant industry experienceExperience servicing and/or installing CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systemsECS/CSCSFull UK driving licenceStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilityGood organisation and time managementConfident working independently with minimal supervisionProfessional and customer-focused approachGood attention to detail and accurate record keepingFlexibility to travel when required PASMA, IPAF and Emergency First Aid at Work would be advantageous, although additional training can be provided.
