Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Participating in the design of new products within international project teams Adapting existing products to meet customer requirements Participating in the full product development cycle (definition, concept, prototype, validation, implementation) Modeling and simulating proposed solutions Creating technical documentation (3D and 2D) Introducing new products into the manufacturing process Reporting project status in accordance with organizational requirements Creating technical reports and generating patent applications Presenting solutions to internal and external customers Collaborating with other departments and supporting members of other project teams Coordinating tests for full product qualification REQUIREMENTS: Higher education degree; preferred fields: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines 5 years of experience in product design and development; industry knowledge is an advantage Proficiency in leading 3D CAD environment (PTC Creo preferred) Knowledge of technical documentation standards Knowledge of sheet metal forming and plastic injection molding processes Fluent English and Polish; Chinese will be an advantage Analytical thinking skills Ability to create conceptual sketches is an advantage Ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment Ability to clearly articulate technical ideas Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously A job that shapes a life.
