Job Requirements Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments, is seeking to hire a Crescendo Café Manager to add to our growing Concierge team! If selected, you will lead and develop the Café team while creating a strong culture of hospitality, teamwork, and accountability. This is a hands-on leadership role, working alongside the barista team to deliver a welcoming, high-quality guest experience. Job Responsibilities:
• Leading and developing the Café team through coaching, feedback, and accountability • Modeling hospitality and service standards by working alongside the team • Identifying and implementing improvements to Café service, workflow, products, and efficiency • Managing Café staffing and scheduling to meet business needs and events • Leading recruiting, onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development • Overseeing ordering, inventory, and supplies while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards • Monitoring financial performance to increase sales, manage costs, and reduce waste • Developing Café menu offerings and programs, including new products, seasonal offerings, and promotions • Collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams on projects, events, and broader Food & Beverage initiatives • Communicating and implementing operational changes to the team Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma • 3+ years in a supervisory, leadership, or management role, preferably in food & beverage, café, hospitality, or retail • Strong team leadership and employee development skills • Passion for hospitality and customer service • Knowledge of café and food & beverage operations, staffing and scheduling, and inventory and ordering • Basic financial and business management skills • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills • Availability for some evenings and weekends based on business needs • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Business, or a related field is a plus • ServSafe Manager or other recognized food safety certification is a plus • Additional management experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or a high-volume customer-facing operation is a plus • Experience with menu and product development, POS, inventory, or scheduling systems is a plus • Experience with cost control, profitability analysis, or developing and implementing food & beverage programs is a plus Sweetwater "Ideal" Team-Player WOWs The Customer – You possess a deep passion and desire for creating amazing customer & colleague experiences Gets Things Done – You have a great work ethic and move through tasks with a sense of urgency Obsesses over the Details – You are committed to paying attention to the details Drives Continuous Improvement – You are always focusing on effective and efficient work and ways to get better Develops the Future – You are committed to the pursuit of growing personally & professionally and have a focus on bringing your colleagues along in that journey We function best as a unified team, so relocation to our state-of-the-art campus in Fort Wayne, IN is required.
