Job Description This organization provides essential public services that directly impact residents and travelers across the state. Services are delivered statewide through a network of offices and service locations, supporting transportation, licensing, public safety, and related government operations.The Driver Licensing division is responsible for issuing driver licenses, maintaining driver records, and administering driver safety programs. The division works closely with state and federal agencies and must comply with federal regulations governing identification credential issuance and record keeping, including REAL ID requirements.To meet growing demand, there is an immediate need for Driver License Credentialing Specialists. The implementation of a new digital license issuance system will require limited travel to service locations throughout the state. This position may provide opportunities for career advancement. Credentialing Specialists may be assigned to a mobile unit and travel to various locations, including manufacturing centers, libraries, correctional facilities, and other sites that require driver licensing services. Overnight travel may be required based on operational needs. Employees will not be expected to use their personal vehicles. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Position Overview The primary focus of this role is to learn and apply digital driver license issuance requirements and state and federal regulations, including REAL ID, Commercial Driver License (CDL), and National Driver Register standards. Successful candidates will review and analyze secure documents and personal information submitted by driver license applicants.Candidates must be able to pass federal fingerprint-based background checks and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with coworkers and members of the public. Applicants must also maintain an active driving record free of current or pending issues. Driving records may be reviewed periodically. Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day. • Must be able to sit at a workstation or cubicle for up to 8 hours per day. Primary Responsibilities / Required Skills

Additional Requirements
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Maysville, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.70 - $16.70/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
