Position Summary
The CAD Technician is responsible for preparing survey and civil engineering drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. This position will support licensed surveyors, project managers, and engineers in the development of boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, and land development projects.
Responsibilities Prepare survey drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. Process field data and survey information into accurate deliverables. Create and maintain existing and proposed surface models. Draft boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction staking surveys. Prepare subdivision plats, easement exhibits, and legal description exhibits. Assist with grading plans, utility layouts, and site development plans. Produce construction document plan sets and permit exhibits. Coordinate with survey crews, project managers, and licensed surveyors. Perform quality control reviews to ensure drafting accuracy and compliance with company standards. Organize project files, references, and drawing databases. Required Qualifications 2+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience. Experience drafting boundary and topographic surveys. Knowledge of survey drafting standards and procedures. Ability to interpret deeds, plats, easements, and legal descriptions. Experience working with point files, surfaces, and survey data. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ALTA/NSPS surveys. Experience with subdivision platting. Land development or site development experience. Grading and drainage plan experience. Utility design experience. Florida surveying and permitting knowledge. Associate's degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winter Garden, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
