We are looking for an experienced BIM Lead to support the GCC UK Civil and Bridges team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading BIM delivery on complex bridge and civil infrastructure projects, coordinating multidisciplinary models, maintaining BIM standards, and supporting effective collaboration between GCC and UK project teams.
• Lead BIM delivery for bridge and civil infrastructure projects from project setup through detailed design and delivery. • Coordinate BIM activities between GCC and UK engineering and design teams. • Develop, manage and review federated and discipline BIM models. • Ensure models and deliverables comply with project BIM requirements, BEP, information standards and agreed workflows. • Undertake model coordination, clash detection, model reviews and quality assurance checks. • Provide technical leadership and day-to-day guidance to BIM Coordinators, Senior BIM Modellers and BIM Modellers. • Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve design and modelling interfaces. • Support the production and checking of drawings, models and other digital deliverables. • Drive consistency in modelling, drawing production, naming conventions and data management. • Support resource planning, work allocation and monitoring of BIM deliverables. • Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and continuous improvement. • Support digital engineering initiatives and knowledge sharing across GCC and UK teams. Essential Skills & Experience
• Strong BIM experience within civil engineering, bridges or major infrastructure projects. • Demonstrable experience leading BIM delivery and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. • Advanced capability in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in Civil/Structural BIM modelling. • Experience with Bentley OpenBuildings Designer/MicroStation would be advantageous. • Good understanding of Common Data Environment and information management principles. • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and BIM delivery requirements. • Experience reviewing models, drawings, coordination issues and BIM quality. • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with geographically distributed UK and GCC teams. • Ability to manage priorities and deliver to programme and quality requirements. • Experience working on UK bridge/highway/rail infrastructure projects. • Experience with structural/reinforcement BIM and complex bridge geometries. • Familiarity with tools such as Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360 and other digital coordination platforms. • Experience mentoring and developing BIM team members. • Understanding of UK engineering drawing and information management requirements.
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, BIM, or an equivalent relevant qualification, supported by substantial practical BIM experience. Candidate Profile We are looking for a technically strong and proactive BIM professional who can take ownership of BIM delivery, communicate confidently with UK project teams, lead and develop GCC BIM resources, and contribute to the continued development of digital delivery capability within the Civil/Bridges team.
