What We're Looking For

5+ years of plaintiff's personal injury litigation paralegal experience — active litigation stage experience required; pre-litigation backgrounds will not be considered Minimum 3 years in a supervisory, team lead, or management role overseeing paralegal or legal support staff Strong working knowledge of state, local, and federal court rules Experience with e-filing, legal documentation, and litigation management software (SmartAdvocate experience a plus) Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate others Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong time-management instincts Genuine empathy for injured clients and an unwavering client-first mindset Deep alignment with Parnall Law's five core values: Teamwork, Talent, Truth, Tenacity, and Triumph Professional demeanor with the confidence to hold yourself and your team to a high standard Willingness and ability to travel on occasion in the event a case proceeds to trial Ability to work during Mountain Time business hours (Mon–Thu 8–5, Fri 8–4) Ability to pass a background check A track record of long-term growth, accountability, and impact in previous roles

As a Paralegal Team Lead at Parnall Law, you are the connective tissue between firm leadership and your paralegal team — keeping cases moving, people growing, and standards high. Your hands-on involvement in active caseloads and your commitment to developing those around you will directly shape outcomes for real people at some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

To train Paralegals and Litigation Assistants to become independent, effective, and confident litigation support staff at Parnall Law Firm.

To provide continuous coaching and feedback by maintaining active involvement in all litigation caseloads — never leading from a distance.

To motivate Paralegals and Litigation Assistants to work according to the firm's values in every case, every interaction, and every decision.

RESULTS / OUTCOMES (What you must get done.)

Attend weekly firm-wide huddle every Monday morning at 8:00 Attend daily team mini huddle Tuesday through Thursday at 8:00 am Attend weekly calendar meetings on Fridays at 8:00 am Conduct biweekly one-on-ones with each team member to discuss KPIs, metrics, goals, and performance Attend biweekly Leadership meetings Review and monitor team timecards and PTO Have status comments entered before weekly Operations Manager and Leads meetings Draft and file complaints within 30 days of case being transferred to LIT 00 Send out service of process within 15 days of filing complaint Accomplish service of process within 30 days of sending out service Ensure scheduling conferences are requested within 30 days of all defendants filing an answer Ensure scheduling hearings are set within two months of the request Calendar all scheduling order items within 5 days of receipt Schedule mediations within 60 days of moving a case to LDD Provide telephonic client updates every 6 weeks with no more than 10 outstanding updates at any given time Ensure overdue tasks never exceed 50

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively manage and support an assigned litigation caseload alongside team leadership responsibilities Provide ongoing training for Paralegals and Paralegal Assistants, building their skills and independence Be available as a hands-on resource for team questions and day-to-day case support Ensure team members are following all firm protocols, policies, and procedures; escalate concerns to the Paralegal Department Director as needed Speak to adjusters, defense attorneys, and others involved in litigation Work with legal assistants to e-file and e-serve court pleadings Compose discovery requests, answers, and responses Draft and serve subpoenas Create and maintain discovery indexes identifying production of all parties by Bates stamp numbers Review defendant discovery responses and deposition transcripts for follow-up discovery Set depositions and request witness fees when necessary Create motion, mediation, arbitration, and exhibit binders Update case analysis within one week of receiving defendant's discovery answers Prepare for trial, including scheduling witness statements, exhibits, and UJIs Attend trial when required Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery for attorneys; save and name all documents in SmartAdvocate in accordance with firm Naming Protocol Calendar all case information pursuant to firm calendaring protocol Perform backup intake calls in accordance with intake protocol Post all costs, including anticipated costs not yet invoiced Work with all staff assigned to your cases to move each case toward a desired conclusion Champion Parnall Law's five core values — Teamwork, Talent, Truth, Tenacity, and Triumph — in every interaction and decision Follow and maintain all firm policies and procedures Proportionately contribute to overall client satisfaction and firm revenue goals

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports directly to the Paralegal Department Director Direct oversight of Paralegals and Litigation Assistants
