Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established accountancy practice in Romford, Essex, which is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career, with exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and the opportunity to develop both audit and accounts experience.
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will work closely with a range of clients, taking responsibility for accounts preparation and supporting the delivery of audit assignments.
Your responsibilities as an Audit & Accounts Senior will include: Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of clientsPreparing management accounts and financial informationPlanning and carrying out audit assignmentsCompleting audit fieldwork and documenting audit evidencePreparing corporation tax computations and returnsSupporting the preparation of personal tax returns where requiredReviewing accounts and audit work prepared by more junior members of the teamLiaising directly with clients and responding to queriesIdentifying areas for improvement and providing commercially focused adviceSupporting junior team members with their developmentManaging your workload effectively to meet client and statutory deadlines
We're looking for an experienced practice accountant who is confident working across both accounts and audit and enjoys building strong client relationships.
You will ideally have: Previous experience within an accountancy practiceStrong accounts preparation experiencePrevious audit experienceGood knowledge of UK accounting standards and relevant legislationExperience preparing corporation tax computationsExcellent attention to detail and strong organisational skillsGood communication and client relationship skillsThe ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlinesAAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or equivalent experience
