A well-established consultancy is looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to its Birmingham team.
This is a varied role covering both geotechnical and geoenvironmental work, giving you the opportunity to work across a range of projects and develop your technical and project management experience.
You'll be involved in:
Managing and delivering ground investigations from planning through to completionGeotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigationsGround and soil logging, sampling and interpretation of site dataProducing factual and interpretive reportsGeotechnical assessments and designSlope stability, foundations, earthworks and ground improvementSupporting Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental assessmentsWorking with clients, contractors and other consultantsSupporting and mentoring junior engineersManaging projects, programmes and budgets where required The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subjectSeveral years' experience within a geotechnical consultancyStrong experience across geotechnical site investigation and reportingSome exposure to geoenvironmental work and contaminated landGood technical report writing skillsExperience working directly with clients and project teamsThe ability to manage your own workload and support more junior staffIdeally, Chartered or working towards Chartership This is a good opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who wants a role with a genuine mix of geotechnical and geoenvironmental work, with plenty of scope to take on more responsibility as the team continues to grow.
