Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established accountancy practice in Central London, which is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and is looking to take the next step in their career within a professional and supportive environment.
The Role As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, providing a broad range of accounting and advisory services while working closely with colleagues and clients.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of clientsPreparing management accounts and financial reportsPreparing corporation tax computations and returnsPreparing personal tax returns where requiredManaging client deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and on timeReviewing accounts and work prepared by junior members of the teamLiaising directly with clients and responding to accounting and tax queriesProviding clients with practical advice and supportAssisting with ad hoc accounting and advisory projectsSupporting and mentoring more junior members of the team
About You We're looking for an experienced accountant with a background in practice who is confident managing client relationships and working across a varied portfolio.
To be considered for this Senior Accountant position, you will ideally have: Previous experience within an accountancy practiceStrong experience in accounts preparationGood knowledge of UK accounting standards and relevant tax legislationExperience preparing corporation tax computationsStrong attention to detail and numerical abilityExcellent communication and client relationship skillsThe ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectivelyAAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, or equivalent experienceExperience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous
