Job Req ID: Posting Date: Function: Location: Salary: About the role The Data Analytics Specialist identifies, designs and delivers data analytics solutions that enable data driven decision making and inform BT Groups data strategies. The role owns and prioritises the product backlog for a specific domain, guiding and overseeing the delivery of data products across pods. They apply deep subject matter expertise to shape requirements, ensure alignment to strategic objectives and drive high?quality, timely outcomes. What you’ll be doing 1.Drives the scoping, planning, design and delivery of analytics activities across complex or strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and data objectives. 2.Owns, prioritises and communicates the domain product backlog, shaping requirements and guiding delivery of high quality data products across pods. 3.Builds and maintains partnerships with business, operational and functional stakeholders, conducting business and technical discovery to define analytics needs and opportunities. 4.Conducts advanced and complex data analysis, synthesising findings into actionable insights, recommendations and strategic inputs for senior stakeholders. 5.Designs and develops analytical products, models, automation and data visualisation solutions, enabling effective storytelling and adoption across the organisation. 6.Leads the implementation of the analytics roadmap, driving the development of end to end analytical solutions and self service capabilities. 7.Applies and champions best practice data governance, security, privacy and Agile delivery approaches, ensuring consistent, high quality outputs. 8.Drives effective collaboration across data and analytics teams, leveraging existing capabilities, aligning initiatives and ensuring efficient handover of models and solutions. 9.Mentors and supports other analytics professionals, building capability, advancing technical excellence and strengthening the wider analytics community. 10.Identifies and delivers improvements to analytics processes, tools and methodologies, optimising efficiency, quality and overall impact.
