Position Overview dormakaba is seeking a First Shift (6:00AM - 2:30PM) Tool & Die Maker II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Tool & Die Maker II works from blueprints and sketches to create or modify prototypes, tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and molds; builds and repairs custom machine shop tools using machining equipment and measuring instruments. HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $27/hr. - $36/hr. Overtime may be mandatory as needed. (Base pay to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Please visit our career site for more information on benefits. $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview) What you will do Operate machines, perform advanced quality inspections, troubleshoot equipment Use precision measuring instruments for tool set-up, perform complex tool changes Use hand tools, operate lathes, grinders, milling/boring machines, etc. Design fixtures/jigs and templates to use as fabrication work aids Train and develop others, perform daily 5S housekeeping What we require High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in machine shop Tool & Die trade Ability to perform advanced quality inspections Physical Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
