Maintenance Technician – Keep Our Sites Safe, Functional and Ready for Learning
At R.E.A.L. Education, our support services team plays a vital role in helping children and young adults achieve their full potential. We're looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to help keep our buildings and grounds safe, secure and well-maintained across multiple sites.
What You'll Do
You'll ensure our premises are always fit for purpose by:
Carrying out general repairs, decorating and planned maintenanceMaintaining fixtures, fittings, equipment and the fabric of the buildingMonitoring plant, heating, ventilation and lighting systemsManaging security, including opening/locking buildings and alarm checksKeeping outdoor areas tidy, safe and hazard-freeSupporting statutory checks such as fire alarms, emergency lighting and PAT testingHandling portering tasks, parcel deliveries, room setups and waste managementResponding to emergencies and ensuring safe, clean environmentsDriving company vehicles, including minibuses, when required What You'll Bring
Practical maintenance skills (basic joinery, plumbing, electrical fittings)Strong understanding of Health & SafetyAbility to work independently, travel between sites and carry out physical tasksA proactive, hands-on approach and pride in high-quality work A full driving licence is required as the role will cover a number of our sites and learning hubs.
