• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems that power JioStar’s tech stack • Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend projects, from technical design to deployment and monitoring • Drive architectural decisions and influence long-term engineering strategy for the team • Build systems with strong observability and monitoring, ensuring system health, uptime, and fast incident response. • Continuously evaluate and adopt relevant technologies. • Take ownership of operational excellence, including performance tuning, incident response, and root cause analysis • Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical deep dives and code reviews, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing Skills and attributes for success:
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python • Experience designing and building distributed systems at scale • Strong understanding of storage systems, query performance, and caching strategies • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), messaging systems (Kafka), and CI/CD pipelines • Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage delivery timelines in fast-paced environments • You are passionate about growing engineers and leading by example • Curious about how advertising systems work and how to optimize them for user and business outcomes Preferred education and experience:
• Bachelors/master's in computer science or a related field with 6-9 years of development experience
