Players walk, explore, buy, trade, and compete in real-world properties, powered by: Geolocation data generated by millions of players Big data analytics for real-time decision-making Scalable backend systems handling millions of concurrent users Multi-platform game clients (Unity for iOS and Android) Advanced data pipelines processing complex game events About the Role We're seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering to lead our entire engineering organization and shape the technical direction of Reality Games. You'll oversee multiple engineering teams, drive architectural excellence, and ensure our platform scales globally while maintaining the quality and innovation our players expect. This is a strategic leadership role that combines hands-on technical expertise with organizational leadership. You'll work on-site in our iconic Kraków headquarters, collaborating closely with product, design, and analytics teams to deliver world-class gaming experiences. What You'll Do Lead engineering strategy across multiple teams (backend, frontend, data, DevOps/infrastructure) Drive architectural decisions for scalable, high-performance systems handling millions of players Oversee platform development spanning Scala backend services, Unity game clients, Kubernetes infrastructure, and big data pipelines Build and mentor engineering leaders, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning Establish engineering best practices, standards, and workflows across all teams Collaborate with product and design to translate game vision into robust technical solutions Optimize delivery processes for faster iteration while maintaining code quality and reliability Make technology choices that balance innovation, scalability, and team capability Manage technical roadmap aligned with business objectives and player needs Foster a culture of open communication, trust, experimentation, and accountability
