Core Responsibilities of the Handyman Role Perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as repairs, installations, and general upkeep of building systems. Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify potential issues or hazards. Address and resolve maintenance requests swiftly and efficiently to minimise downtime. Collaborate with the facilities team to prioritise tasks and ensure projects are completed on schedule. Utilise appropriate tools and equipment while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. Assist with setting up furniture, fixtures, and office amenities as needed for company events and new setups. Essential Qualifications and Skills for the Handyman Position Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role is preferred. Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repair skills. Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues efficiently. Good communication skills for interacting effectively with team members and other departments. Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently. Attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety standards. Flexibility to respond to emergencies outside of typical working hours, if necessary.
