HandCraft Services is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our Transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and delivering linen products to healthcare customers while ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time service. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high safety standards, delivering excellent customer service, and representing HandCraft Services professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
• Load linen carts onto trucks and trailers in the proper sequence and ensure carts are correctly identified for each customer location.
• Safely deliver products to customers according to scheduled routes and delivery timelines.
• Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation and compliance with company and DOT requirements.
• Load and return the appropriate number of empty and soiled carts after deliveries.
• Complete and maintain required DOT documentation and vehicle inspection records.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Valid CDL Class A License and current DOT medical card.
• Minimum of 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience (2 years preferred).
• Ability to meet all DOT requirements.
• Strong backing and maneuvering skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds overhead.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
