About this role
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) across all construction projects. The role ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and international quality standards while driving continuous improvement in construction processes and project delivery.
Key responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with ISO 9001 standards and project requirements.Ensure all construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and local regulatory authority requirements in the UAE.Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.Oversee QA/QC activities across multiple construction projects (civil, structural, mechanical, or infrastructure works).Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals.Monitor site inspections and ensure adherence to approved procedures and standards.Lead and manage QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and document control teams.Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders on quality-related matters.Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality standards and best practices.Maintain quality documentation, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CARs, and audit reports.Ensure proper tracking, closure, and reporting of quality issues.Prepare regular QA/QC performance reports for senior management.Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across projects.Analyze defects and implement lessons learned to prevent recurrence. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldMaster’s degree is an advantage15–20 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industryMinimum 5+ years in a managerial or leadership roleExperience in large-scale projects in UAE or GCC preferred.ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferredMembership in a recognized engineering body is an advantage.Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and QA/QC proceduresFamiliarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and compliance requirementsProficiency in QA/QC documentation and reporting tools.Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesHigh attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Nova International General Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
