About this role
Primary Purpose
The Consultant is responsible to develop enhance and support Pega applications based on functional, nonfunctional, and security design requirements and ensure software and subroutines are working to specification, program codes have conformed to standards and are delivered with quality meeting schedule and requirements.

Design and develop Pega applications using Pega platform provided low code capabilities adhering best practicesBuild case types, data models, responsive user interfaces, and integrations with other systemsImplement business logic using activities, data transforms, and decision rulesConfigure workflows, service level agreements (SLAs), and routing logicImplement security using Pega provided security rulesImplement reporting using report viewer and report definitionsOptimizing application performance using Pega provided tools and other DB toolsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Pega application and databaseDevelop and maintain reusable components and frameworksResearch, learn and evaluate new features in Pega platform to enhance the solutionParticipate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions to maintain quality and to promote best practicesTechnical Design
Translate business requirements into technical specificationsCreate and maintain low level technical design documentsEnsure adherence to Pega best practices and guardrailsOptimize application performance and scalabilityIntegration & Testing
Integrate Pega applications with external systems using REST, SOAP, EMAIL, File and other protocolsDevelop Pega Unit test cases and perform unit testing. Support other phases of testing including system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)Debug and resolve technical issues and defectsSupport deployment activities across environmentsCollaboration & Documentation
Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholdersParticipate in requirement gathering and design sessionsDocument technical specifications, configurations, and processesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers The ideal candidate should possess:
Mandatory:
Pega Certified System Architect (CSA)Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)Good to have:
Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) or any other certificationsAzure / AWS Cloud foundational / Associate pr higher levels of certificationSpecialization in React or Angular front-end technologiesStrong understanding of Pega Cloud servicesHands-on experience in Kubernetes servicesFamiliar with OOPS concepts and other programming / scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, shell / bash scrips.Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalentAt least 5 years of working experience in developing and delivering Pega application softwareStrong understanding of Pega OOTB capabilities with hands-on experience and able to clearly articulate technical skillsDemonstrated experience in designing and developing Pega applications using App Studio and Dev Studio and Pega BlueprintHands-on experience in in working with UIKit, Theme-Cosmos and Constellation applicationsProven experience in integrating Pega application with other systems using various protocolsFamiliar with database and SQL conceptsFamiliar with AI technologies including Pega GenAI capabilities and othersFamiliar with software delivery methodologies like Agile and WaterfallStrong debugging capabilities not limited to using Pega provided tools and demonstrated experience in providing alternate workarounds and alternate solutionsPossess relevant system development / maintenance experience using Pega-related technologiesPossess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high quality standardsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the boxAbility to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivator with a positive attitude and with high energyCustomer focusedProficient in written and spoken English We are driven by our AEIOU beliefs—Adventure, Excellence, Integrity, Ownership, and Unity—and we seek individuals who embody these values in both their professional and personal lives.
