About this role
As an AI Platform Engineer, you'll be part of our AI Centre of Excellence (AI COE) - a centralized platform team building and operating enterprise-grade AI and data platforms for internal engineering teams across NCS. You'll work hands-on to develop reusable platform components, implement AI workflows, and ensure our services meet production-grade standards. This isn't about one-off projects—you'll own shared capabilities end-to-end and help internal teams consume LLM capabilities in a consistent, reliable way.
What will you do?
Platform Development & Integration
Build AI platform services and APIs using PythonIntegrate with model access layers, data systems, and platform servicesContribute to shared libraries and reusable platform componentsAI Workflow Implementation
Implement AI workflows including RAG pipelines and inference servicesDevelop LLM integration patterns and prompt-based workflowsWork with vector databases and embedding pipelinesProduction Operations & Optimization
Design services for reliability, scalability, and fault toleranceOptimize latency, throughput, and resource utilizationSupport deployment, testing, and production operationsImprove platform usability for internal developers The ideal candidate should possess:
Experience
6–8 years of software engineering experience1–2 years hands-on experience with AI or LLM-based systemsProven track record building backend services in production environmentsExperience with shared or platform-based architecturesFamiliarity with distributed systems and service-oriented designTechnical Skills
Strong Python development capabilitiesRAG concepts including embedding and retrievalVector database usage and embedding pipelinesModel serving or inference runtime conceptsContainerization and Kubernetes environmentsCI/CD pipelines and version control workflowsMonitoring, logging, and tracing fundamentalsKey Attributes
Strong ownership mindset from development to productionComfortable working in evolving and ambiguous problem spacesAbility to balance experimentation speed with engineering disciplineClear communication with technical stakeholdersCollaborative approach within platform and architecture teamsContinuous learning attitude towards new AI technologiesEducation Qualification
