About this role
The SAP Project Manager is responsible for managing and implementing SAP projects with quality, ensuring defined scope, on-time deliverables, and adherence to processes and standards. The role involves establishing project plans, risk management strategies, milestones, and deliverables in consultation with business users and architects. The Project Manager oversees daily project execution, budget, manpower, and quality while liaising with customers, vendors, and stakeholders. The position also requires team leadership, effective vendor management, and business development support to expand service opportunities.
What will you do:
Establish project plans, risk management plans, milestones, and deliverables with users and architectsManage project schedules, budgets, manpower, and quality on a daily basisDefine project scope and manage change control mechanismsAnalyse and document requirements across business users and managersEscalate and discuss issues such as overruns, scope creep, and resource requirements with leadershipOversee integration of hardware, software, testing, and data conversion componentsMonitor critical path activities and adjust schedules to meet deadlinesManage resources including hardware, software, and human resources within budgetReview project documentation for compliance with standards and customer requirementsDefine project resources, conduct performance reviews, and oversee post-implementation evaluationsNegotiate with vendors to secure adequate resources across project phasesBuild relationships with users, technical staff, and management to resolve system issuesManage contracts and subcontractors effectivelyNegotiate change requests with customers based on business needsCommunicate project issues and clarifications clearly with customersIdentify expansion or service improvement opportunities and liaise with Account ManagersParticipate in pre-sale activities when required The ideal candidate should possess:
Minimum 5 years of SAP project management experienceMinimum 10 years of IT services experienceBachelor’s degree or higherExperience in Singapore Public Sector SAP projectsPast experience in full SAP project implementation and SAP application supportProficient in written and spoken EnglishAbility to travel as requiredPreferred Attributes
Self-motivated with positive attitude and strong problem-solving skillsExcellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead and maintain respectful and trusting relationshipsStrong leadership and team management capabilitiesAbility to anticipate and exceed customer expectationsSkilled in coaching, mentoring, and performance managementProfessional and/or Technical Certifications
