About this role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical System Engineer with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to join our organization in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Linux-based infrastructure solutions that support our enterprise operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to optimize system performance while ensuring reliability and security across our infrastructure landscape.
Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and infrastructure across the organizationPerform system administration tasks including user management, access control, and security configurationsAnalyze system performance metrics and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliabilityDevelop and maintain shell scripts and automation solutions to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual workloadTroubleshoot complex system issues and provide timely resolutions with detailed documentationConfigure and manage storage systems, file systems, and disk partitioning according to organizational standardsImplement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure proactive issue detectionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and infrastructure requirementsEnsure compliance with security policies and best practices through regular system hardening and vulnerability assessmentsMaintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and architectural decisionsParticipate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades to support business growthProvide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments **Required Skills and Experience:**
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and managementStrong proficiency in Linux system architecture, kernel concepts, and operating system fundamentalsDemonstrated expertise in shell scripting (Bash) and system automationSolid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, and network configurationExperience with storage management, file systems (ext4, XFS), and logical volume management (LVM)Proficiency in system performance tuning, monitoring, and diagnosticsKnowledge of configuration management principles and toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailExcellent organizational and documentation skills**Preferred Skills and Experience:**
