About this role
We are seeking a Program Assistant who will be responsible for implementing assigned activities and programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents within the community. Reporting to the Director of Programming, this position assumes the responsibility to engage residents to participate in activities and programs in Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care.
Schedule: Part time every Saturday
Salary Range: $16.50 Hourly
Responsibilities and Duties
Assists with planning and implementing activities that meet the needs and interests of the residentsAssists with creating resident histories and profiles with resident/family involvementAssumes responsibility for set-up and clean-up of daily activities scheduledAssists with creating a monthly social program calendar and distributes them to community personnel and residentsKeeps residents engaged between planned social activities. One to two years related experience in leading activities for the elderly preferredHigh school diploma or higher education preferredExcellent verbal and written communicationWilling to work flexible hoursProficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applicationsPhysical Abilities
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs.
