About this role
According to the category strategy, with a customer centric approach, deciding product assortment in line with trends and customer expectations.Leading day-to-day business relationship with the key suppliers through supporting activities including contracting, ordering, communication of demand, volume, delivery time changes, follow up back orders.Conducting market research on regular basis to analyze new suppliers, products and competitor trends.Preparing monthly reports about category operations to review sales performance analysis and taking necessary actions.Providing content for METRO’s marketing campaign tools to reach out over 1 million households.Participating in our projects discovering Turkish cuisine and promote better quality standards.Providing communication between the category and the stores.Working collaboratively with Sales Department, Finance, Marketing, and Logistics in order to reach category targets. University degree in related departmentsMinimum 2 years of experience in related areas (preferably category management or purchasing experience in FMCG sector)Fluency in written and spoken English for steering global projectsKnowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications for making executive summaries and supporting strategic decisionsStrong analytical and problem solving skills for a sustainable and powerful relationship with customersBeing food lover for enjoying every second of work lifeHaving self-confidenceBeing result orientedHaving good reporting and communication skillsOpen to exploring new trends and learning Why METRO?
