About this role
The Yard Helper Associate is responsible for supporting daily yard operations by maintaining yard organization, assisting with the movement and storage of materials, preparing products for delivery or pickup, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety throughout the yard and storage areas.Load, unload, and move materials, products, and equipment using appropriate tools and equipment.Perform routine yard checks as required.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safelyFollow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.Assist with snow removal, sweeping, waste disposal, and general yard maintenance.Support warehouse and operations teams with various tasks as needed. High school diplomaMust be able to physically complete required tasks – may include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, stopping, walking or lifting throughout the shift.Experience with heavy equipment operations is an assetPrevious experience in a yard, warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or logistics environment is considered an asset.Experience using hand tools (drills, sanders etc)CSA safety bootsLanguage – English is required / Bilingual (French Speaking) is an assetPositive Attitude and willingness to learnMust be reliableMust be safety conscious.
