About this role
You’ll lead the technical sales process: digging into customer use cases, offering guidance on Mapbox implementation and integration, building demonstrations, providing training, and handling platform and security discussions. You’ll help translate user questions and requests into actionable feedback for Mapbox developers and engineers.
Strong communications. You’re pithy and organized when you write and speak.Action-oriented. You break complex tasks into smaller steps, seek help when you need it, and JFDI as much as possible.Enterprise experience. You’ve worked large enterprise deals, know how to qualify a lead, and aren’t afraid to line edit a 39-page contract.Public/private partnership. Your experience includes private sector and government work, ideally with federal agencies. You keep a pocket dictionary of acronyms and, for extra credit, have an active security clearance.Code like Janus. You’ve got strong front-end and server-side magic. You’ve got an eye on the past and the future. You know legacy geospatial tools inside and out but want to dive into Mapbox – or already have.Engineering feet on the ground, head in cloud. You’ve got the bash skills to deploy Mapbox anywhere – from a Linux VM on a Windows Server to a private cloud – but prefer to have Amazon Web Services do your dirty work for you.
