We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sourcing Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to optimize our supply chain and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performanceNegotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best value for the companyAnalyze market trends and pricing data to inform sourcing decisions and strategiesDevelop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costsManage and nurture relationships with key suppliers to ensure optimal performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, finance, and operationsEnsure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulationsMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sourcing and supplier performanceContinuously improve sourcing processes and implement best practices Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain managementProficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)Strong data analysis skills and experience with tools such as Excel and Power BIExcellent negotiation and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sourcing strategiesKnowledge of global sourcing practices and supplier relationship managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
