About this role
The HIM Coder/Clerk is responsible for assembling, coding, abstracting and performing analysis on patient records. Assists in answering phone calls and requests for patient records.
High school education or GED required. Vocational training or Coding Certification required.Organization, verbal, customer relations and ability to comprehend instructions is required.Computer typewriter skills required.2-4 years working in Health Information Management field preferred.Ability to comprehend and follow instructions as well as to work with the public and coworkers.
