Job Description:
The Biovia ELN Developer will be involved in developing an Biovia's ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook). You will be working with a team to develop and implement an enterprise ELN system in a Pharmaceutical environment.
Develop code using .net, C# and PythonWrite and perform Unit TestsWrite periodic status / progress reports Perform basic or complex configuration of laboratory information systems Develop simple or complex software functionality but with limited scopeParticipate in peer reviews of code for coding standards, best practices, functionality, error handling, etc.Write basic SQL queries using relational database concepts and schema design principlesIntegrate laboratory instruments with scientific software packagesDevelop simple or complex, dynamic reports Break complex processes into smaller achievable piecesIntegrate scientific applications with other scientific or non-scientific applicationsParticipate and take leading role in requirements analysis process with client stakeholdersTransform client requirements into design solutionsDesign and develop reusable utility/library software for general useEngineer designs that satisfy current requirements and are extensible for future enhancement while keeping it cost effective for clientsDevelop very complex / challenging algorithms and software designs having large project scope or large scale Perform architectural code and design evaluationsLead development teamsProvide high level of technical leadership / mentoring to entire development teamWrite system interfaces using pre-existing middlewareAuthor System Architecture and Deployment PlansPerform simple or complex database optimization
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in .Net, C#, and Python programmingBiovia ELN Development experience a must4 Year degree in an applicable fieldExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong logical / analytical thinkingAbility to troubleshoot and solve problemsAt least 4 years of experience in ELN Development5-8 years of software development experience in Laboratory Informatics projects5-8 years of experience working in regulated environmentsTravel requirement: The job location is in Foster City, CA. If based in the San Francisco Bay area, travel is minimal. Outside of this area, travel is 50%+.
