Lead the month-end and year-end close processPrepare and review journals, reconciliations and trial balancesProduce consolidated and entity level financial statementsOwn the monthly Board Pack and Group reporting submissionsOversee Capex, fixed assets and balance sheet governanceMaintain loan schedules and support cash flow forecastingCoordinate audit processes and ensure compliance with accounting standardsDrive financial data integrity and continuous improvementLead and coordinate interim and year-end external audits across multiple UK entitiesAct as the primary point of contact for external auditors and internal audit reviewsOwn the Financial Accounts Audit File and ensure full audit readiness at all timesDrive implementation of audit recommendations and ongoing control improvements Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA preferred; CIMA considered)Minimum 3 years' PQEExperience in multiple entity consolidation and financial controlProven experience leading external audits and managing auditor relationshipsStrong technical knowledge (FRS 101/102, IFRS, UK GAAP)Advanced Excel and ERP skillsAnalytical, organised and commercially aware This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a broad, governance-focused role with progression into future leadership responsibility.
