Summary
Work directly under the supervision of Production Manager. Responsible for engineering to support the growth of the plant including all aspects, functions. Design, develop and implement initiatives to improve the Company's processes and operations to enhance competitiveness and operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities
Prepare quotation for complete technical and commercial Cutting Tools for customers. Take technical responsibility for the Project's orders (all technical information is clear to the customer before the quotation and after the order is sent). Technical project management.Programming for CNC grinding machines, designing cutting tool drawings according to customer requirements.Lead product transfers - identify, plan and execute product transfers from other plantsDevelop new, innovative tool solutions together with customers and machine tool builders.Parts cost management - Analyze and optimize production processes.Process citation/study is supported.Grasp concepts in production management such as: Safety, Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, RCA, 5S, Kaizen, etc.Consent to projects to improve OEE and reduce cycle timesCreate documents and store them according to the Company's procedures.Communicate with suppliers (technical and commercial, follow the work assigned to them).Review and measure engineering methods, technology applications, work processes and apply lean/continuous improvement application skills. Education & Work Experience
Fluent in English and Vietnamese (written and spoken)Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or Technical EducationsAbout 3-5 years of related work experience in metalworking industry (especially in cutting tools and/or CNC metalworking machines and/or CAD/CAM software),System processing experience - specifically, SAPKnowledge of ISO systems/ TS 16949/ ISO 14001 preferredProactive, aggressive, well-organized and hardworkingAbility to prioritize and follow-up on issues with method and efficiencyExcellent communication and presentation skillsHigh level of autonomy, experience in working in fast moving, technical business environmentStrong knowledge of MS Office software, ACAD and/or other CAD/CAM software Kennametal is an Equal Opportunity Employer
