Street Cleaner
Temporary Role (Mon - Thu, 6am starts, 37hrs per week)Location: DoncasterRate: £13.05 per hour Join our dedicated team in Doncaster as a Street Cleaner, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of streets and public areas. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is committed to enhancing community environments.
Day-to-day of the role:
Maintain streets and public areas according to designed maintenance and improvement programmes, ensuring they meet service standards for the benefit of Doncaster residents.Perform general duties outdoors in all weather conditions, responding to seasonal work demands and emergency call-outs as necessary.Serve as a point of contact for community members, handling enquiries and maintaining positive customer relationships. Act professionally and represent Doncaster Council as an ambassador within the community.Undertake a variety of multi-skilled tasks across different service areas to support year-round service continuity.Use appropriate equipment and mobile technology safely. Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, hazards, or defects in vehicles, machinery, and equipment to the line manager. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow safety procedures.Good communication skills and customer service orientation.Flexibility to take on multi-skilled tasks and adapt to varying work demands.Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
