The Company:
A well-established Central London-based company specialising in international art trading and high-value transactions
Main Duties:
This is a specialist finance role responsible for managing financial transactions, client accounts and compliance within an international art trading business. The position combines accounting, AML/KYC, tax and post-sale financial operations, working with high-value transactions and clients.
The Role:
- Handle invoices and payments for art auctions
- Calculate payments to sellers and make sure they are correct
- Carry out AML and KYC checks for buyers and sellers
- Manage VAT, tax and Artist’s Resale Rights
- Deal with day-to-day bookkeeping, invoices and expenses
- Keep financial records accurate and work to tight deadlines
The Candidate:
- Strong experience in finance or accounting
- ACCA qualified or part-qualified
- Anti-Money Laundering experience is an advantage
- Knowledge (of) / fluency in the Russian language would be a strong advantage, although not essential
- Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Experience with VAT, tax and financial transactions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, especially under tight deadlines
- Professional, discreet and confident when dealing with high-value clients
