We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to join our team and work across our fantastic partnership secondary schools in Wakefield
Whether you're looking for the flexibility of day-to-day supply, want to get stuck into a short-term assignment, or are searching for a long-term opportunity, we've got something for you!
What will you be doing?
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be the friendly face at the front of the classroom, helping keep students engaged and learning when their usual teacher is unavailable.
Your day could include:
Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared workManaging classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environmentEnsuring students complete the work set by their teacherSupporting and encouraging students with their learningMonitoring student progress and reporting any concernsWorking across a variety of secondary schools and year groupsBuilding positive relationships with students and school staffAdapting to different classrooms, subjects and school environments What are we looking for?
We're looking for people who have the right attitude, confidence and ability to connect with young people.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience working with children or young peopleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong classroom management and behaviour-management skillsThe confidence to lead a classroom independentlyA calm, patient and positive approachThe ability to follow lesson plans and school instructionsReliability, flexibility and a professional attitudeA genuine desire to support young people and their education Previous school experience is a bonus, but we're happy to consider candidates from a range of backgrounds. If you've worked in youth settings, coaching, tutoring, education, childcare, mentoring or similar roles, we'd love to hear from you!
