Are you an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler/Manager seeking greater variety, genuine career progression and the opportunity to develop within a supportive and established broking team?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial insurance business based in Leatherhead. You will work alongside experienced brokers, servicing new and existing commercial clients, including major scheme-based clients within the removals and storage sector.

As Commercial Insurance Account Manager, you will manage the day-to-day servicing of a varied portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring they receive a responsive, accurate and professional service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing commercial insurance renewals and mid-term adjustmentsReviewing risk and claims information and obtaining any additional information required from clientsSecuring competitive quotations from insurersPresenting renewal terms promptly and following up with clients for instructionsSupporting strong client retention and profitable account growthProcessing policy adjustments through insurer extranetsEnsuring insurance cover is placed within the required timescalesBuilding effective, long-term relationships with clientsUnderstanding clients’ requirements and recommending appropriate insurance solutionsWorking closely with underwriters to adapt policies and secure suitable coverResponding promptly and professionally to client enquiriesPreparing invoices and resolving billing queriesMaintaining accurate client files, correspondence and policy documentationWorking collaboratively with brokers and the wider team About you
At least one to two years’ commercial insurance experienceExperience within commercial vehicle, motor fleet, public liability or employers’ liability insuranceA sound understanding of general insurance principlesCommercial insurance experience rather than solely personal lines experienceA confident and professional telephone mannerThe ability to communicate effectively with clients, insurers and colleaguesStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailA flexible and team-focused approach
Progress towards CII qualifications would be advantageous, although full support for further CII study is available.
