Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for full time work in a supportive school environment? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team and provide high quality classroom support in mainstream primary schools.
We can offer both day to day and longer term placements in a range of welcoming primary schools. This is an excellent opportunity to put your experience to good use, work in a variety of settings and make a positive difference to children's learning and wellbeing.
About the Role
You will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Depending on the placement, you may support individual pupils, small groups or whole classes. You will:
Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activitiesProvide one to one and small group support to help pupils make progressLead structured interventions in areas such as phonics, reading, writing and mathsSupport pupils with additional needs to access the curriculumPromote positive behaviour in line with each school's policiesHelp to create a safe, organised and stimulating learning environmentSupport pupils' wellbeing, confidence and independence throughout the school dayAdapt quickly to new classes, routines and school settings About You
Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school settingA good understanding of the primary curriculum and how children learnLevel 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirableConfidence in managing behaviour and supporting pupils with a range of needsA patient, reliable and professional approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsA genuine commitment to pupil success and wellbeingRight to work in the UKAn enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one What We Offer
