Travel Claims Handler Cardiff - Hybrid Working Salary: From £24,500 (DOE)
Yolk Recruitment are working with a growing insurance services business in the heart of Cardiff that supports both UK and international insurance providers. The team delivers a wide range of services including claims handling, customer service, underwriting, and pricing - all with a strong focus on data, innovation and continuous improvement.
Right now, they're looking for a Travel Claims Handler to join the team. It's a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the Cardiff office and the rest working from home. You'll be responsible for managing travel insurance claims from start to finish, providing a high standard of service to customers travelling both within the UK and abroad.
If you're experienced in handling claims or a recent graduate who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing:
Assessing indemnity, liability and quantum on travel claimsIdentification and referral of fraud indicators and recovery opportunitiesSupport the Claims Team Leader with day to day departmental activityPro-active case load managementNegotiating settlement of claimsProviding exceptional service to our customersActively seek and provide input that may lead to improved operational processes within the claims areaEnsure quality, service standards and productivity levels are maintained to a high standard and in line with the company's expectationsBe conversant with the business' compliance procedures and risks to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements What we're looking for:
Recent graduate looking a new challengePrevious experience in travel insurance claims is ideal - but not essential.Confident communicator who can build rapport with customers and third parties.Comfortable using data to spot trends and make informed decisions.Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Organised and able to meet daily and weekly targets.
