Finance Assistant Langport | Up to £32,000 | Full Time
Butler Rose is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a well-established and successful Somerset-based business to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their finance team in Langport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in finance within a supportive environment that offers exposure across multiple areas of the accounts function. The employer is also happy to support CIMA studies for the right candidate.
The Role Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role within a close-knit finance team and gain experience across a broad range of financial responsibilities.
Key duties will include:
Maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledger recordsProcessing customer invoices and supplier transactionsReconciling ledger accounts and resolving discrepanciesAssisting with payroll processing and employee recordsSupporting weekly and monthly management accounts preparationAssisting with financial reporting, forecasting and audit requirementsPreparing and checking export documentationLiaising with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholdersProviding general support across the finance function as required
About You Applicants will ideally have:
Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance roleKnowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger and general accounting processesStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsGood Excel and systems skillsExcellent communication skillsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of payroll processes or accounting qualifications would be advantageous but is not essential.
